Finding Stillness When the World Is Not
There are moments, like now, when the world feels unbearably loud.
Fractured.
Unsafe.
Right now, many people we know, and many we don’t are living with the constant hum of uncertainty. Sirens. Missiles. Waiting. Not knowing.
And even from afar, we feel it.
In our bodies.
In our sleep.
In the way our thoughts circle and don’t quite land.
It can feel almost trivial to speak about meditation at a time like this.
And yet, perhaps this is when it matters most.
Not as an escape.
But as a return.
A return to breath.
To the body.
To a place inside that is not dictated entirely by what is happening around us.
Because while we cannot always control the external world,
we can tend to our internal one.
Even a few minutes of stillness can soften the edges of fear.
Create space where there was none.
Remind us that beneath the noise, something steady remains.
This is not about detaching from reality.
It’s about staying resourced enough to meet it.
For over 25 years, I’ve worked with meditation and guided practices, and more recently in collaboration with musician Yuval Ron and Metta Mindfulness in LA, weaving music and stillness to support deeper calm.
Today, I’m sharing one of these meditations again, with a different intention.
For steadiness.
For grounding.
For inner peace in the midst of uncertainty.

I hope it helps, even a little.
And if you have friends or family in places of conflict,
this may be something gentle you can offer them too.
A small anchor, in a world that feels anything but anchored.
blessings,
Linda

This was lovely- thank you Linda🙏
